This is the third pool piece Michael Godard has done. The other two did really well, so he decided to paint another. This one is a fun play on the words “Pool Shark” - the awesome pool player who takes everyone’s money. Godard painted a blue shark and an olive getting his money taken away from him as well as the 8 ball in the center of the martini glass stem.

GICLEE ON CANVAS
Fourth, and second image in the Pool Shark Series. The Shark is now gaining skill and shooting from behind his back. The Pool Shark has been true to his name as we see he has collect a lot of cash from his victims. The Olive under the glass has his pockets tuned out looking for any money he might have; hence the play on words, “Empty Pockets” a result of losing all his cash to the Shark.
